About Me

I didn’t grow up as an athlete, and I didn’t originally plan to work in the fitness or yoga industry. Until my mid-20s, I was on a completely different career path. Everything shifted when I found yoga as a way to manage anxiety, and began to experience firsthand how physical strength can shape mental resilience.

My journey started small, and honestly, unintentionally —following online yoga classes during my first child’s nap time. Over time, I became hooked. The impact wasn’t just physical; it was mental and emotional. I felt calmer, stronger, and more confident in a way I hadn’t experienced before.

I initially enrolled in a yoga teacher training simply to deepen my personal practice and connect with others in the yoga community. My only goal was to teach enough classes to pay back the cost of the training. But unexpectedly, I fell in love with teaching.

Around that same time, I was introduced to Lagree through a yoga student. What I found was a missing piece, an intense, strength-focused complement to the mindfulness and mobility I had developed through yoga. The combination of the two became my regular practice, and what began as a few classes per week gradually evolved into a full-time career.

After experiencing the psychological benefits of consistent movement in my own life, I’ve spent the past decade witnessing that same transformation in others.

My passion for teaching along with a deep curiosity eventually led me to formally study the body and brain. I hold a degree in exercise science, a minor in neuroscience, and have experience working as a research assistant in a kinesiology lab. I am also an E-RYT and YACEP with Yoga Alliance, and a certified Lagree instructor.

Today, I blend evidence-based research with years of hands-on experience to create classes that are both safe and effective, combining strength, stability, and mindfulness while meeting you exactly where you are and guiding you toward your goals.
